  1. 1. Hur påverkas svenskhushållskonsumtion av olikabindningstider på bolån vidstyrränteförändringar?

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Handelshögskolan (from 2013)

    Författare :Martin Wejdenmark; Alireza Rasooli; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Mortgage term; household consumption; disposable income; policy rate; inflation; Räntebindningstid; hushållskonsumtion; disponibel inkomst; styrränta; inflation;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden variable-rate mortgages are relatively common. Furthermore, householdindebtedness is high in relation to other nations within the European Union. Therefore,monetary policy has a stronger effect on the economy due to the household sensitivityregarding interest rates. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modelling the Exchange Rate: Evidence from the Impacts of Quantitative Easing in Sweden

    D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomi

    Författare :Anny Eklund; Markus Sallkvist; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Quantitative easing; Exchange rate; Bayesian VAR model; Small open economy; Triangular factorisation;

    Sammanfattning : Quantitative easing, the unconventional monetary policy measure used by many central banks to combat low inflation when interest rates are at the lower bound, has shown to be an effective tool for depreciating the domestic currency. Although the exchange rate is of particular importance in a small open economy as it directly impacts inflation dynamics,trade competitiveness and plays a substantial role in shaping monetary policy, few papers have investigated how the depreciating effect of QE to the exchange rate works. 3. 3. Investigating Non-Linear Exchange Rate Pass-Through in Sweden: Estimates from a Logistic Smooth Transition Vector Autoregressive Model

    D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomi

    Författare :Gabriella Linderoth; Malte Meuller; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Exchange Rate Pass-Through; Sweden; Inflation; Non-Linear; Logistic Smooth Transition Vector Autoregressive;

    Sammanfattning : This paper provides novel estimations of a non-linear exchange rate pass-through dependent on inflation for Sweden using a logistic smooth transition vector autoregressive model. The model enables smooth transitions between high and low inflation regimes, mirroring the dynamics of the economy and capturing regime-specific effects. LÄS MER

  4. 4. How does Monetary Policy Affect the Inflation Rate? A Study of the Riksbank's Monetary Policy from 2000-2019

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Linnea Svensson Rotberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Inflation; Unconventional Monetary Policy; Monetary policy; Time Series Data; Business and Economics;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines how the Riksbank’s monetary policy has affected the Swedish CPI inflation rate from 2000 to 2019. This thesis aims to determine if monetary policy is effective at controlling inflation. There is an emphasis on exploring the differences between conventional and unconventional monetary policy. 5. 5. How does the Weakened Swedish Krona Impact the Inflation? A Bayesian VAR Analysis of Exchange Rate Pass-Through

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Ebba Wallin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Exchange rate pass-through; Consumer price inflation; Frequency of price adjustment; Import price inflation; Bayesian vector autoregression; Business and Economics;

    Sammanfattning : Exchange rate pass-through to prices differ depending on the underlying shock. Furthermore, the mechanisms causing inflation behave diversely, conditional on why the exchange rate fluctuates. This paper investigates how prices react relative to the exchange rate movements, i.e. LÄS MER
