    Sammanfattning : This essay will examine the liberty of movement through the analysis of a traveling journal written by the young aristocratic lady Lovisa Catharina Trolle-Wachtmeister in the year of 1832, during her family’s travel through Europe. The beginning of the nineteenth century brought many books of adventure and traveling because of the new possibilities to rent a horse and carriage and therefore travel longer distances for a shorter amount of time.
