    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to investigate how the female characters of the Swedish novel The Serious Game (Den allvarsamma leken) by Hjalmar Söderberg (1912) are represented in the film adaptation from 2016, a film adaptation by Pernilla August (director).
