1. Study of mixing and exchange in a drinking water reservoir using CFD modeling
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)Sammanfattning : This thesis examines water mixing and exchange in a drinking water reservoir operated by themunicipal association Norrvatten. Recent water samples from the reservoir’s outgoing waterhave shown an increase in culturable bacteria during late summer and fall. LÄS MER
2. Sustainable IoT Data Caching Policy using Deep Reinforcement Learning
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknikSammanfattning : Over the years, the Internet of Things has grown significantly and integrated into many fields such as medicine, agriculture, smart homes, etc. This growth has resulted in a significant increase in the amount of data generated. 3. On the Identification of Nonlinear Optima in Spatially Developing Boundary Layer Flow
Master-uppsats, KTH/Strömningsmekanik och Teknisk AkustikSammanfattning : The present thesis studies transition to turbulence in a spatially developing bound-ary layer for subcritical Reynolds numbers. A fully nonlinear iterative direct-adjoint optimisation technique is employed to identify finite amplitude perturbations triggering transition in an energy efficient way. LÄS MER
4. CFD Simulation of a Fin-Tube Evaporator under icing
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningsläraSammanfattning : The study involves development of a methodology to simulate a fin-tube evaporator under icing conditions using CFD in Ansys® Academic Fluent 2021R1. It aims to build on previous studies performed on heat pumps. It was performed by Abhay M. Hervatte in collaboration with Bosch Thermoteknik AB, Tranås, SE during the spring term of the year 2021. 5. Sustainable Aquifer Management in Small Island Developing States : A case study of Mauritius
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are amongst the most vulnerable states in the world. They are subject to a number of stresses including economical, climatic and spatial restraints. This thesis investigates the effects that certain critical ‘stresses’ will have on the groundwater reserves of SIDS. LÄS MER
