21. Water-based Synthesis of Superparamagnetic X-ray Fluorescent Contrast Agents
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : Nowadays, nanomedicine is one of the most important application areas fornanoparticles (NPs), where the design and synthesis of new hybrid nanostructures have attracted much interest, when combining properties and functionalities from different constituents. For example, they have been extensivelyused for dual-mode imaging. LÄS MER
22. X-Ray Fluorescence of Metal Halide Perovskites
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : This thesis has the aim to provide a framework for analyzing X-ray fluorescence (XRF) data obtained from German Electron-Synchrotron Group (DESY). The theoretical analysis shows that XRF competes with Auger emission, and works mainly for elements with high atomic number. Here, incident X-rays of 13. LÄS MER
23. Effect of ash on catalytic activity for passive regeneration of catalytic diesel particulate filter : Evaluation of ash deposition by laboratory ageing
24. Elemental variability in tree-rings as indicator for climate change : a case study on beech and oak trees at the Laacher See, Germany
Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografiSammanfattning : The aim of this study was to contribute to the comprehension of the connection of element uptake in trees at the Laacher See in Germany and climatic parameters on different time scales. Understanding the relationship of certain elements in trees and temperature might enable the assignment of extraordinary high peaks in the elemental concentration, which cannot be explained by temperature, to another process as CO2 degassing of the mofettes, which are relics of the volcanic past of the lake. 25. Utvärdering av ett portabelt röntgenfluorescens-mätinstrument för mätning av tungmetaller i havsvatten och bottensediment
M1-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/ElektronikSammanfattning : Heavy metals are metallic elements with a density of at least 5 g/cm^3. Some heavy metals exist in nature and within organisms naturally, but many heavy metals are poisonous at low concentrations and the amount of heavy metals in nature has increased because of human activity, both in water and on land.
