  1. 1. Probing Charm Production with Three-Particle Correlations in pp Collisions

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik

    Författare :Kim Haupt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :pp collisions; charm production; three-particle correlation; Pythia; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to investigate possible correlations between charm production and baryon production in proton-proton collisions through three-particle correlations. The question attempted to be answered is where, for a given charmed baryon, the balancing anti-charm particle and balancing anti-baryon are located. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Transverse Momentum Spectra in pp collisions (\sqrt{s}\) = 7 TeV and \(\sqrt{s}\) = 13 TeV in ALICE

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik

    Författare :Andreas Stokkeland; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Multiplicity; Multiplicity classes; Soft interactions; Quark Gluon Plasma; QGP; transverse momentum; p_T; Chi-squared; fits; fit functions; Levy; Lévy; Exponential; BGBW; Boltzmann-Gibbs blast-wave; Fermi-Dirac; Bose-Einstein; Boltzmann; pion; kaon; proton; transverse momentum spectra; p_T spectra; surface velocity; Minimum Bias; MB; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : In this project particle production as a function of transverse momentum (\(p_{\rm T}\)) in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy (\(\sqrt{s}\)) of 7 TeV and 13 TeV has been studied. The transverse momentum is interesting to study since it reflects momentum created in the collision (before the collision, all momentum is in the beam - going in a longitudinal direction) and therefore gives information on the collision dynamics. 3. 3. Forward-Backward Multiplicity Correlations for Proton-Proton Collisions with ALICE at LHC-CERN

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :August Koppers; [2022]
    Nyckelord :ALICE; Particle physics; CERN; LHC; QCD; pp collisions; Lund string model; Two particle correlation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the study of two-particle pseudorapidity correlations in pp-collisions at √s = 13 TeV using the ALICE detector at LHC, CERN. The correlation function was calculated as a function of multiplicity and was repeated for several multiplicity classes and different charge combinations in the forward-backward and central regions of the detector, respectively. 4. 4. Blue Stragglers from Primordial Binary Evolution

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Emilie Desrochers Karlsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :blue stragglers; binary; stars; binary evolution; mass transfer; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Blue stragglers were first discovered as hotter and more luminous than the turnoff in the globular cluster M3. Their presence is typically explained by the interplay between stellar collisions and mass transfer in binary systems. In this thesis, I study blue stragglers produced from primordial binary evolution. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Impacts of misbehavior in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) : The case of cooperative maneuvers

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Andreas Henriksson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Intelligent Transportation System; Connected vehicles; Vehicular Communication; Cooperative maneuvers; Maneuver Coordination; Networks attacks; Selective jamming attacks; Falsification attacks; Intelligenta transporteringssytem; Uppkopplade fordon; Fordonskommunikation; Kooperativa manövrar; Manöverkoordinering; Nätverks attacker; Selektiva utstörningsattacker; Förfalskningsattacker;

    Sammanfattning : Connected and autonomous vehicles are emerging technologies that have fostered the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). ITS has the objective of optimizing traffic safety, mobility, and fuel consumption. To achieve this, a range of different services are provided that utilize communication in a vehicular network.
