11. Machinery Health Indicator Construction using Multi-objective Genetic Algorithm Optimization of a Feed-forward Neural Network based on Distance
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Assessment of machine health and prediction of future failures are critical for maintenance decisions. Many of the existing methods use unsupervised techniques to construct health indicators by measuring the disparity between the current state and either the healthy or the faulty states of the system. 12. Development of headspace solid phase microextraction gas chromatography mass spectrometry method for analysis of volatile organic compounds in board samples : Correlation study between chromatographic data and flavor properties
Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörs- och kemivetenskaper (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis work was to develop a headspace solid phase microextraction gas chromatography mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) method to detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in board samples and to statistically investigate potential correlation between chromatographic data and flavor data obtained from a trained panel. The developed method would hopefully serve as a complement to the already established routine analyses at Stora Enso and gain an increased understanding of which VOCs in the board influence its flavor properties. 13. Multi-objective A* Route Optimization for Terrain Vehicles
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : To investigate the extent for which the A* algorithm could find non-dominated routes, A* was compared to the NAMOA* algorithm for multi-objective terrain route optimization. NAMOA* is a multi-objective generalization of A*. NAMOA* has previously been proven to return all non-dominated routes. LÄS MER
14. Reinforcement Learning for Link Adaptation in 5G-NR Networks
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : The Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) scheme in the link adaptation is a core feature in the current cellular networks. In particular, based on Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) measurements that are computed from the Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) level of User Equipment (UE), the base station (e.g. LÄS MER
15. Optimization of integrated energy storage for implicit demand-side flexibility : The case study of Singapore office buildings
Master-uppsats, KTH/Kraft- och värmeteknologiSammanfattning : Demand-Side Flexibility (DSF) is a very attractive option to solve challenges that are emerging from the evolution of modern power systems all around the world. The greater integration of intermittent renewable energy sources into the energy mix creates the need for flexible end-user behavior and demand management. LÄS MER
