21. Study of the in-flight calibration of theSVOM/ECLAIRs instrument
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknikSammanfattning : The Space based multi-band Variable astronomical Object Monitor (SVOM) is a x- andgamma-ray telescope with the primary objective of observing gamma-ray bursts. Themission is a cooperation between the French and Chinese space agencies and will be launchedin 2021. LÄS MER
22. Detailed chemical abundances of neutron-capture elements - from 523 local giant stars
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : Purpose: The purpose of this work is to determine the abundances of neutron-capture elements in solar neighborhood giant stars. This enables constraints to be put on the the cosmic origin of these elements. LÄS MER
23. The astronomical consequences of primordial black holes
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : In the radiation or early matter dominated eras of the Universe, there is a theoretical possibility for the formation of black holes (BHs). These primordial black holes (PBHs) have been thought of as a possible candidate for dark matter (DM), and an attractive one at that as it would explain DM using only baryonic physics. LÄS MER
24. Investigating super-Eddington accretion flows in Ultraluminous X-ray sources
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/RymdteknikSammanfattning : It is now widely known that most of the large galaxies we observe (e.g. the Milky Way) host in their center a supermassive black hole ($10^{6}-10^{9}$ $M_\odot$). LÄS MER
25. The status of neutron-capture elements according to Gaia-ESO.
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to get a better understanding of the evolution of the Milky Way stellar disc by looking at the abundance ratios for neutron-capture elements in thin and thick disc stars. In this project the formation of our Galaxy’s thin and thick disc was studied by analysing 10 different neutron-capture elements in field stars measured by Gaia-ESO. LÄS MER
