7. Pipe Surface Roughness at Microscale and Discussion of Possible Relation to Flow Properties
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresursläraSammanfattning : Despite decades of intense research, the behavior of water molecule still warrants new research.Water flow through various pipe systems has become a pivotal corner stone of functioning human infrastructure. 8. Concurrent Validity, Inra-unit, and Inter-unit Reliability of the Vmaxpro for Measuring Velocity
Magister-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Avdelningen för idrottsmedicinSammanfattning : The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the concurrent validity, intra-unit, and interunit reliability of the IMU Vmaxpro for measuring velocity for VBT purposes. Two protocols were constructed to cover velocities seen in the practical environment. Utilizing the 1080 Quantum the first protocol collected data without the use of subjects. LÄS MER
9. Concurrent validity of an inertial sensor for measuring muscle mechanical properties
Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Avdelningen för idrottsmedicinSammanfattning : Background: The usage of the Force-Velocity relationship for individualizing training regimes for athletes has increased in popularity. This can be done through measurements of muscle mechanical properties and creating individual force-velocity profiles. To do this, one must use valid and reliable test equipment. LÄS MER
10. The effect of flywheel training on functional neuromuscular performance in physically active youth
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of flywheel resistance training on functional neuromuscular performance in physically active youth. Method Forty-four healthy and physically active youth between 12-14 years of age (n=19 boys & n=25 girls) volunteered to participate and were randomized into three different groups of flywheel resistance training (FRT) (n=15, body mass = 42,9 ± 8,6 kg, time to Peak Height Velocity (PHV) = - 0,8 ± 1,6), traditional strength training (TST) (n=15, body mass = 44,7 ± 10,3 kg, time to PHV = - 0,8 ± 1,5) and a control group (CON) (n=14, body mass = 43,8 ± 9,0 kg, time to PHV- 0,8 ± 1,5.
