6. Finite Element Analysis of Stresses in the MIST CubeSat due to Dynamic Loads During Launch
Master-uppsats, KTH/LättkonstruktionerSammanfattning : A finite element model of the CubeSat MIST was created, in order to assess the stresses that occur in the satellite in response to loads during its launch. Due to size limits of thesoftware used, simplifications had to be made to the geometry of the model. LÄS MER
7. Design of semi-rigid cables for harsh vibration environment
Master-uppsats, KTH/HållfasthetsläraSammanfattning : This thesis investigates semi-rigid cables exposed to a harsh vibration environment. Thethesis includes the creation of a simulation model of the semi-rigid cables as well asdeveloping a set-up and performing a experimental vibration test. LÄS MER
8. Transient and Spectral Fatigue Analysis for Random Base Excitation
H-uppsats,Sammanfattning : This thesis work gives an insight on how to estimate the fatigue damage using transient and spectral fatigue analysis for both uniaxial and multiaxial stress states in case of random vibration base excitation. The transient method involves a rainflow count algorithm that counts the number of cycles causing the fatigue damage, while the spectral method is based on probabilistic assumptions from which an expected value of fatigue damage can be estimated. 9. Dynamic Analysis of Sinusoidal, Random and Shock Vibration according to Launch Environment for Small Spacecraft Development to Asteroid 2016-HO3
Master-uppsats, KTH/LättkonstruktionerSammanfattning : The investment of space commerce is skyrocketing and it is predicted to be a nascent business in the future. The spacecraft demand has been growing not only for NASA and other space agency’s mission but also collaboration business between small space industries, academia, and scientific community. LÄS MER
10. Vibration Testing of Short Fibre Reinforced Polymer Composites
Master-uppsats, KTH/LättkonstruktionerSammanfattning : Applications of short fibre reinforced polymer composites (SFRPCs) have been rapidly increasing and most of the components made of these materials are subjected to cyclic loading. In automotive applications, “under the hood” is the harshest environmental condition for plastic-based materials with temperatures ranging from -40°C to 120°C. LÄS MER
