1. A Crisis of Identity : National Identities’ Impact on Approval of Government Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionenSammanfattning : In the face of ever-present crises, this thesis aims to investigate if national identity is a factor that can contribute to our understanding of why individuals have different opinions of government crisis response, focusing specifically on the COVID-19 pandemic as a most likely case for this. The research question is “Does national identity impact approval of government crisis response?” By using regression analysis to study national identities generally, as well as some subdivisions of national identity, the investigation finds an (albeit) weak relationship between having a strong national identity and approval of government response to the COVID- 19 pandemic. 2. Image-driven simulation of brain tumors using a reaction-diffusion mathematical model
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Avdelningen för medicinsk teknikSammanfattning : Brain tumors pose a big challenge in the field of neuro-oncology. Gliomas are the largest subgroup. Magnetic resonance imaging is a non-invasive tool for detecting and characterizing these tumors. Mathematical models, such as the reaction-diffusion equation, can be used for understanding the intricate behavior of gliomas. LÄS MER
3. Analyzing Survey Response Time and Response Rate for Colorectal Cancer Patients Using Logistic and Poisson Regression
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : Cancer is a highly prevalent disease worldwide, claiming hundreds of lives each year. In the field of cancer research, it is customary to conduct surveys in which patients are asked to self-report and assess their symptoms and overall health. LÄS MER
4. Error-related potentials and error awareness : A meta-analysis
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskapSammanfattning : Performance monitoring is a crucial metacognitive function that allows for adaptive behaviour. Electrophysiological studies on error monitoring specifically, have shown how error trials in different tasks elicit two distinct signatures, the error-related negativity (ERN) and the error positivity (Pe). 5. The effects of management practices and environmental variables on the biodiversity of Nardus grasslands in the national park Hohe Tauern, Austria
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of EcologySammanfattning : Introduction. A large part of the biodiversity of the Alps is linked to an interaction between the natural environment and traditional land-use practices. This study focuses on the priority habitat type of species rich Nardus grasslands (Natura 2000 Code 6230*), which is endangered, but continues to thrive in extensively managed subalpine pastures.
