En enad front eller en spretig opposition?

Sammanfattning: The Yellow Vest movement have been covered extensively in the media since the French grassroot movement had its start back in late 2018. The outrage started with a strong opposition to tax raises on fossil fuels but since then the movement have become something much larger. In a much broader sense the movement have become a strong opposition to Macron and his party and En Marche. Some would even suggest that the Yellow Vest Movement have become an overall opposition to liberalism or maybe neoliberalism. The study’s ambition is to find out what political premises constitutes the basis for the Yellow Vest Movement’s requirements to the French government. The study was conducted by an idea analysis using ideal types and the political scales left-right and GAL-TAN as analytical instruments. After thorough analysis of the 42 requirements as the main material the study comes to the conclusion that the movement is socioeconomically linked to the left and socioculturally linked to TAN.
