Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the level of knowledge on the use of the housing co-operatives annual reports when purchasing a cooperative apartment. Method: A qualitative method has been applied for the study where the empirical material consists of ten semi-structured interviews with co-operative apartment buyers. In this study a deductive research approach has been implemented. Conclusion: The annual report was present among co-operative apartment buyers for the majority of the respondents, where most financial ratios, notes, balance sheets and income statements were important. Co-operative apartment owners predominantly possess a high or medium level of financial knowledge. The annual report was a significant factor that influenced most of the respondents with high objective financial knowledge investment decisions. At last, it has been established that there is a connection between the level of financial knowledge and the use of the annual report.
