Merkel’s stance changes from wanting a humane reception of refugees in 2015, safe roads to Europe in 2016, and reasonable lives for immigrants near their home countries in 2017. Merkel enunciates that there needs to be an international cooperation in the fight against escape causes. She makes clear that Germany has a strong economy and phrases in 2015 that the workforce is needed, in 2016, however, the migration flow must be reduced, and in 2017 she states that Germany must support the countries receiving huge amounts of immigrants, by supporting their economical development.
