Tillgänglighet till sexuell och reproduktiv hälsa och rättigheter (SRHR) för kvinnor i Sverige med erfarenhet av flykt: En kvalitativ studie utifrån yrkesverksammas syn på tillgänglighet

Sammanfattning: This qualitative study aims at examining how professionals who work with sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for refugee women in Sweden view these women’s accessibility to SRHR. For a person to achieve good health, SRHR must be included. SRHR are human rights in Sweden, and all people have an equal right to them. However, there are large gaps between the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the reality, as many of the rights are violated. SRHR is such a right that is not always respected, and the accessibility to SRHR for refugees is something that tends to be overlooked by decision-makers around Europe. Refugee women are a vulnerable group at particular risk of being forgotten. Inspiration from feminist theories is used to analyze the empirical material based on interviews. The results show that there are several barriers to good accessibility to SRHR for refugee women in Sweden, including structural discrimination, structural racism, patriarchal power structures, and a lack of transcultural perspective in health care. A transcultural perspective and cultural competence in health care, combined with an increased knowledge about SRHR and refugee women’s rights, should be applied to overcome these barriers and to ensure good accessibility to SRHR for refugee women.
