Physiotherapists plays a big part in caring for long-term patients, however there is a lack of research as to how a physiotherapist can use ACT. The material was then analyzed using a qualitative content analysis.  Results: The result was presented in 6 categories and 5 sub-categories. The physiotherapists described their experiences of applying ACT in their work with patients, what part they felt they played in physical therapy informed ACT and what opportunities as well asdifficulties they encountered with while doing so. Conclusions: The physiotherapists described how they applied ACT regarding to the body, how they focused on function over reduction of symptoms and that they guided the patient through the rehabilitation. They also based the rehabilitation on the patients’ goals and values.
