En kvalitativ studie om hur socionomer som arbetar på ekonomiskt bistånd påverkas av New Public Management i det dagliga arbetet

Sammanfattning: The aim of the studie was to explore whether social workers in the social assistans handling income support, were experiencing that their work was influenced by New Public Management. The data was collected through four interviews with social workers and assesed through organizational theory. The perspectives used among organizational theory was mainly the human reasource, structural and political. The result of the studie was that social workers are affected by New Public Management in the way the social organizations are structured to function which needs co-ordination to work. The structural advantages they experienced where like previous reseach by Blom (1998) have shown that the legal certainty was consolidated. One of the disadvantages where the amount of time that administration and co-ordination with healthcare took.
