Utformning till och från busshållplatser utifrån ett tillgänglighetsperspektiv – Exempel på systematisk genomgång av Linje 2 i Malmö

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Utbildningar i Helsingborg

Sammanfattning: Accessibility is something that many take for granted. For people with disabilities is, more often than not, the case not so. This in particular becomes a problem if the ability to reside in a community’s streetscape becomes a problem. It is mainly these people that society must adapt to. Public transport is an important part of society. Buses are a large part of the public transport. Public transport by bus has today been made accessible, both by adapting the actual buses but also by ensuring that the bus stops are made accessible. The bus “whole journey perspective” consists of walking, waiting, transfers and actual vehicle journey. The study aims to examine if the entire “whole journey perspective” is accessible, on the basis that the bus stops and buses already are accessible. That is to say, is the path to and from the bus stop really accessible? The aim is also to find out if there is a correlation between the accessibility and safety in the streetscape. And also to expose the strengths and weaknesses of the work process and the cooperation between Skåne¬trafiken and Gatukontoret Malmö, about their work on bus routes, bus stops and the surrounding environment. Three methods have been used to achieve the purpose of this study. The first is an inventory study along bus route 2 in Malmö. The second method is a survey based on injury statistics taken from police and medical records. Finally, an interview study was made at Gatukontoret Malmö and Skåne¬trafiken. The results indicate that about 40% of the path to and from the bus stop is not accessible. Above all is the great lack of rest- and seat possibility. It is also indicated that the organizations responsible for accessibility work need to extend their cooperation for a continued and further developed work. The hope of this study is that people who work with these issues will be inspired and gain knowledge about the work that is left to do on the accessibility of public transport. Hopefully the study will also contribute ideas for future work. Keywords: accessibility, usability, disabilities, STRADA, Gatukontoret Malmo city, Skånetrafiken
