Ungas utsatthet av sexuell exploatering: En rättssociologisk undersökning bland unga i Lunds kommun

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Rättssociologiska institutionen

Sammanfattning: An increasing amount of youths in the municipality of Lund have communicated experiences with sexual exploitation, according to the municipal organization Fältgruppen. The aim of this paper is therefore to map the occurrence of sexual exploitation amongst 15 to 20 year olds in the municipality of Lund. To achieve this, a quantitative survey was carried out which was distributed to the target group through a convenience selection. In an attempt to reach as many respondents as possible, the data collection was performed by Fältgruppen. In the distributed survey, the target group's experiences of different forms of sexual exploitation were examined. The survey also investigated opinions and knowledge about sexual exploitation, as well as experiences of mental illness and drug use. The theoretical standpoint which complemented the empirical findings in this study originated from intuitive law and the norm model. The data collection resulted in 1125 respondents, with a varied mix of boys and girls, which indicated that the results can be generalized, however with some caution. The results of the study showed that sexual exploitation occurs within all age groups and genders, especially amongst girls. Most often it occurs on social media or with other digital tools. It was also concluded that exposure to sexual exploitation correlated with mental health issues and drug use. Both legal norms, in the form of legislation, and social norms influenced the youths' attitudes. It appeared, however, that youths’ knowledge of the law was very limited, which empathizes the relevance of this study.
