Sammanfattning: This study indulges in a quantitative examination of food aid's impact on civil unrest. It has contributed to our understanding of the consequences of aid. It's the first study of its kind, analysing the effects of food aid on civil unrest. Using four different forms of food aid, derived from OECD it presents four individual models of civil unrest. It theorizes that food aid may inadvertently become politized by becoming a symbol of inter-group inequalities. The result from the multivariate regression is minuscule positive, however the fixed effects model does not show any statistically significant result. In summary, it deviates from earlier works that's found food aid to be both positively and negatively associated with civil unrest.
