Sammanfattning: In this work the aim was to determine the scattering coefficient for a diffusing panel by measurements and also examine the difference between scattering and diffusion. Similar measurements have been carried out in the past in slightly different ways, the method that was chosen was to follow a given standard for the measurement of the scattering coefficient. The measurements were carried out in the reverberation room in MWL at KTH and impulses were sent out for different angles of the diffusing panel with a total rotation of one revolution. The results where evaluated by the calculation of reverberation times from the decay curves which eventually resulted in the scattering coefficient. The result was values between 0 and 1, increasing with frequency. The conclusion that was drawn was that the results were in good agreement with what was expected and that the method can be used in future studies.
