Kvicksund Idrotts- och Kulturhus

Sammanfattning: The aim of this project was to develop a public hybrid building in the countryside of Eskilstuna and create an active meeting place that is open to the public. Kvicksund is a town in the northern part of Esklistuna and is the chosen area for this project. Kvicksund Sports and Cultural Center is a multi-facility for both sports and culture. There is already a large sports ground with several football fields and a large golf course in that area. These outdoor activities are complemented by the new indoor activities and create a non-commercial meeting place combined with leisure facitilies, exhibition opportunities, a restaurant and a café. This type of a grand meeting place can contribute to improved social sustainability in Kvicksund.
