Sammanfattning: The debate that surrounded non-competition agreements in contract of employment during the recent years, due to the new collective agreement, does not include all the different perspectives that occur in the area. The rules that emerged in the course of time for the jurisprudence are misleading. There are a number of different interests in the area of non-compete agreements, and they all strive to determine if an agreement is to be seen as reasonable. But is today’s jurisprudence and limitations of non-competition agreements the future for the 2020s labour market?   This thesis discuss the legislation and the rules of non-competition agreements. With a continuous analysis of the underlying interests, this thesis illustrates how the different legislations risk to aggravate the movement of labour. Due to that risk, this thesis presents new perspectives that to this day has not been highlighted enough for the area. With this thesis I therefore aim to widen the legal discussion on the area.
