Mobilapplikation för underlättad organisering av sociala nätverk

Sammanfattning: In the prevailing information society an individual might experience difficulty in organising their network of contacts. Due to the limitations of the human memory, some personal information about each of these contacts might be forgotten. For instance, individuals who aspire to advance career-wise can experience this problem in situations where they are exposed to a large amount of information. Such situations could for instance be when attending job fairs or when using social networks. As a result, the stakeholder Erik Tosterud from Drivhuset Uppsala identified the need of a tool that allow users to add information and organize their contacts. The result was a mobile application called SociMap that organizes users’ contacts. This application simplifies both storing and navigating through information, thus fullfilling Erik Tosterud’s requirements for the tool. In addition, the application aspires to act as a tool for memory training for the stored information. To further improve the user’s memory ability, a game element was introduced in the form of quizzes. The quizzes are based on the information stored, to help the user remember connections between notes and contacts, motivate learning and promote continuous use. The application was evaluated which showed that the application contained some flaws but was easy to use in general.
