  1. 1. Evaluation of manual and robotic techniques for Micro-RNA extraction in early sepsis diagnosis

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskap

    Författare :Tjorven Plontke; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by the spread of infectious diseases throughout the body, resulting in a dysfunctional immune system response. It includes a wide range of symptomsa ffecting multiple organs, making accurate diagnosis challenging. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Design and Evaluation of Peptide Binders : In silico evaluation and comparison of generative AI for de novo peptide binder design

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och bioinformatik

    Författare :Linde Brokmar; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Protein design; de novo design; protein engineering; generative ai; machine learning; peptide binders; AF2; EvoBind; RFdiffusion; ProteinMPNN;

    Sammanfattning : Peptide binders are short proteins that bind to larger proteins. Due to peptide binders having high specificity and being cheap to synthesize, they are a prime candidate for drug design. Creating new proteins in silico can be divided into three steps: protein backbone generation, sequence design, and computational filtering. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Författare :Douglas Björkengren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells; PEMFC; HTPEMFC; polymer technology; polymer characterization; reprocessing; recycling; polybenzimidazole; PBI; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 4. 4. Pre-study for SMR and Nuclear Establishment in Norway

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaper

    Författare :Johan Stefan Nordström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Energy mapping; Nuclear power; SMR; small modular reactors; siting; Norway; Energy; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Norway has Europe’s highest share of renewable electricity production and the lowest power sector emissions. Thanks to the country’s stable power production, Norway has affordable and stable access to electricity, leading to industries choosing to relocate to the country. LÄS MER

  5. 5. An evaluation of Honeypots with Compliant Kubernetes

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Oscar Eriksson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :honeypots; Kubernetes; cloud security; compliance;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis evaluates different honeypot technologies and how they can be integrated into Compliant Kubernetes (CK8s), a secure open-source distribution of Kubernetes designed to address various compliance and regulatory requirements. The thesis identifies and compares the features, metrics, and suitability of several candidate honeypots for CK8s based on a literature survey and experimental testing. LÄS MER
