6. Analysing the effects of 24/7 Carbon-free Energy procurement strategies on the electricity system : Case Study of commercial and industrial sector in the Netherlands
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Considering the growing importance of the electricity sector in the worldwide decarbonisation efforts, as well as large volumes of energy consumed by the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector, corporate power procurement is found to be a significant contributor to building a net zero economy. Within this topic, hourly matching of carbon-free electricity supply with demand, or 24/7 Carbon-free Energy (24/7 CFE), is identified as a next-generation power procurement framework, with growing interest from a wide range of stakeholders in the energy sector and benefits backed by robust research evidence. 7. Optimization of an energy system in rural Thailand
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : By 2020, Thailand ensured 100% electricity access to its 72 million inhabitants. This was partly done by promoting off-grid energy systems in rural areas instead of using costly grid extensions. LÄS MER
8. Decentralizing electricity generation in Cuba : Implementation of a microgrid in the sugar mil lCarlos Baliño
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Cuba has a long history of different dependencies and is a country facing many energy challenges, and therefore seeks to diversify its energy sources and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels. The purpose of this degree project is therefore to conceptualize a microgrid based on renewable energy sources for local energy sustainability at the lowest cost possible. LÄS MER
9. FTIR mätningar av absorptionsvätskor i Bioenergy Carbon Capture and Storage processer
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/KemiteknikSammanfattning : The effects of global warming are well understood. In order to combat this, society must move towards net zero emissions of green house gases, where carbon dioxide (CO2) plays a key role. In several IPCC climate scenarios that meet the Paris agreement, negative emission technologies that effectively remove CO2 from the atmosphere are included. LÄS MER
10. Pre-study for SMR and Nuclear Establishment in Norway
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaperSammanfattning : Norway has Europe’s highest share of renewable electricity production and the lowest power sector emissions. Thanks to the country’s stable power production, Norway has affordable and stable access to electricity, leading to industries choosing to relocate to the country. LÄS MER
