Using a qualitative method, based on the hermeneutic-phenomenological tradition, six semi-structured interviews have been held with a focus on, on the one hand, which stereotypes of Christian Indians occur in Indian society, and on the other hand how this affects the identity of the Christian Indians in relation to Indian citizenship, especially under the influence of Hindu nationalists. This study investigates what perceptions exist on making such a constitutional reform, with the main focus on gaining greater understanding of how removing the British King as head of state of Jamaica being perceived as part of the process of gaining full independence. 5. National identity and foreign policy: An analysis of the performative in Sweden’s Feminist Foreign Policy and the Swedish national identity
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för globala studierSammanfattning : Viewing Sweden’s Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP) as a paradigmatically case of national identity formulation, this thesis overarching aim is to answer the following research question: to what extent is Sweden’s national identity constructed through foreign policy? It assumes that there is a correlation between foreign policy and national identity, with background in earlier theoretical work of selected poststructuralists who all rely on the performativity theory of Judith Butler.
