1. Analysis of fatty acids in fatty acid-based herbicides by gas chromatography
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionenSammanfattning : Fatty acids-based herbicides are considered to be a green alternative to synthesized weed control products. However, the environmentally sustainable effect of those herbicides needs more investigation to be confirmed. LÄS MER
2. Riskreducerande åtgärder för vätgasläckage
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : Hydrogen use increase and so does the knowledge about its risks, but not necessarily about how to handle these risks. Limited literature is available about risk mitigation for hydrogen use, the objective of this thesis is to increase this knowledge. LÄS MER
3. DURABILITY STUDY OF REJUVENATED RAP BINDERS
Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för kemi och biomedicin (KOB)Sammanfattning : Beer is a fermented alcoholic beverage that spans back to over 5000 years years ago and is consumed all over the world. Beer is usually made from malted barley but it can also be made from different cereals and starches. Beer contains both saturated and unsaturated fatty acids (FA) which are derived from the malt that is used. LÄS MER
5. Analysis of polyfunctional thiols in beer : Developing a novel method of extraction and analysis using GC-FID
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)Sammanfattning : In this project, attempts were made to identify and quantify two polyfunctional thiols – 4-mercapto-4-methyl-pentanone and 3-mercaptohexyl acetate – and three monoterpene alcohols – linalool, geraniol, and β-citronellol – in beer samples. In order to avoid the use of hazardous compounds such as dichloromethane and hydroxymercuriobenzoate, common in traditional methods, two novel techniques were tested: a pure liquid-liquid extraction of the beer samples with cyclohexane, and a liquid-liquid extraction with cyclohexane followed by solid phase extraction on silver ion columns.
