11. The effect of increasing train lengths on the fatigue lifespan of a bridge.
Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnadSammanfattning : More and more pressure is exerted on railway infrastructure due to an increasing transportation demand and population density. Instead of expanding the net, a possible solution could lie in the enlargement of the capacity by operating longer trains rather than more short ones. LÄS MER
12. Effects of high-speed rail on regional development : Case study of the Stockholm-Mälar region and Yangtze River Delta region
Master-uppsats, KTH/Samhällsplanering och miljöSammanfattning : High-speed railway, as a modern means of transport with convenient, fast and mass transport volume characteristics, plays a significant role on regional development. Since 2008, in order to react to the influence of international financial crisis, China began the mass construction of high-speed rail. LÄS MER
13. Vibration Control of a High-Speed Railway Bridge Using Multiple Tuned Mass Dampers
Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnadSammanfattning : In the current thesis, the Banafjäl Bridge located on the Bothnia line (Botniabanan) in northern Sweden was studied. The bridge is a 40m long composite ballasted high-speed railway bridge. A 3D FE model of the bridge was developed using a commercial FE software, Abaqus. The FE model was calibrated against the measured data of the bridge. LÄS MER
14. Effekter av att omleda höghastighetståg : En fallstudie på Ostlänken
Master-uppsats, KTH/Transportplanering, ekonomi och teknikSammanfattning : To hear of train disruptions on the news has been more a rule than an exception in recent years, whether it is signal failure or torn down contact lines, all these disturbances have caused enormous problems both for passengers and goods. A big reason that disruptions have such a big impact on the railway system is that there are very limited opportunities to divert trains. LÄS MER
15. Reduction of Vertical Acceleration in High-speed Railway Bridges Using Post-installed Viscous Dampers : A case study of the Bothnia Line
Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnadSammanfattning : Several of the bridges along the Bothnia railway line do not fulfill the requirements regarding vertical accelerations that are stated in current design codes. The acceleration of the bridges needs to be reduced, in order to make the Bothnia line suitable for high speed railway traffic. LÄS MER
