  1. 1. A 3D Sliding Bearing Finite Element Based on The Bouc-Wen Hysteretic Model : Mathematical modelling and numerical implementation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad

    Författare :Sicong Wei; [2020]
    Nyckelord :high-speed railway; nonlinear dynamics; bridge bearings; friction; hysteresis; secondary development; damping;

    Sammanfattning : Bridge bearing is an essential component with the function of connecting the superstructure and substructure of the bridge, transmitting load and providing movability to the superstructure. Under dynamic conditions, the internal friction of bridge bearing dissipates the vibration energy and therefore reduces the dynamic response of the bridge. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A 3D sliding bearing finite element based on the Bouc-Wen model : Implementation in Abaqus

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad

    Författare :Rémi Lantoine; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Railway bridge; dynamics; resonance; sliding bridge bearings; finite element; Abaqus; friction; steel; Teflon; PTFE; Bouc-Wen model; friction coefficient; temperature; heating;

    Sammanfattning : As rail transportation is significantly more virtuous than airplanes or cars in terms of greenhousegases emissions, its development is being encouraged in several European countries, includingSweden. In addition, the development of railway lines on which trains can travel at higher speeds ismade in Sweden with the integration of existing infrastructure. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The effect of increasing train lengths on the fatigue lifespan of a bridge.

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad

    Författare :Franck Monballiu; Wouter Schils; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Finite element model updating; sensitivity analysis; objective function; dynamic analysis; Banafjäl bridge; fatigue lifetime; high-speed bridge;

    Sammanfattning : More and more pressure is exerted on railway infrastructure due to an increasing transportation demand and population density. Instead of expanding the net, a possible solution could lie in the enlargement of the capacity by operating longer trains rather than more short ones. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Vibration Control of a High-Speed Railway Bridge Using Multiple Tuned Mass Dampers

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad

    Författare :Heydar Beygi; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Tuned mass dampers; Dynamic analysis; high-speed railway bridge; Banafjäl bridge;

    Sammanfattning : In the current thesis, the Banafjäl Bridge located on the Bothnia line (Botniabanan) in northern Sweden was studied. The bridge is a 40m long composite ballasted high-speed railway bridge. A 3D FE model of the bridge was developed using a commercial FE software, Abaqus. The FE model was calibrated against the measured data of the bridge. LÄS MER

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad; KTH/Järnvägsgruppen, JVG

    Författare :Guillaume Gillet; [2010]
    Nyckelord :High-speed railway line; composite bridge; dynamic; ballastless track; modal analysis;
