1. Micromechanical Characterization of Thin Paper Materials
2. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntesSammanfattning : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes. 3. Structural modifications of polyester fibres induced by thermal and chemical treatments to obtain high-performance fibres
4. Fatigue Testing of a Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer : Investigation of damage development using Digital Image Correlation
Master-uppsats, KTH/LättkonstruktionerSammanfattning : Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) is a material with high specific propertiesand good fatigue and vibration dampening characteristics, and can potentiallybe used instead of steel and aluminium in heavy duty vehicles. This work focuseson testing methodology and the fatigue properties of a unidirectional (UD)material in the 0° and 90°orientation, reproducing and validating the method developedby Wanner[1]. LÄS MER
5. Microstructural, Mechanical and Tribological Studies of Ti-6Al-4V Thin Plates Produced by EBM Process
Magister-uppsats, Högskolan Dalarna/MaterialteknikSammanfattning : The titanium alloy, Ti-6Al-4V, is vastly studied and used in many applications because it has a transformation microstructure, which can be tailored for apt properties that are consistent up to 500°C. Compared to conventional steels, this alloy favours certain applications due to its high specific strength, hardenability, corrosion resistance, biocompatibility and weldability. LÄS MER
