    Sammanfattning : Out of the blue, the pandemic hit the, at the time, prosperous restaurant industry (RI) and imposed unprecedented challenges to encounter. The ambiguity of the environment in which decision-makers now operated in, did not comply with the old rules as it by tradition depends on a flow of visitors, long opening hours and gathering of humans, sparking an increase in sensemaking (SM).
