  1. 1. Den svarthuvade snigelns (Krynickillus melanocephalus) substratpreferens vid äggläggning

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för miljö- och livsvetenskaper (from 2013)

    Författare :Geir Brodén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Krynickillus melanocephalus finns ingen engelsk översättning ; Ecology; Slugs; Pest; Invasive species; Substrate preference; Oviposition; Egg laying; Fältsnigel; Ekologi; Äggläggning; Habitat; Substrat; Invasiv; Svarthuvad snigel;

    Sammanfattning : Krynickillus melanocephalus was first seen in Sweden 2015. It is now labeled as an invasive species and it potentially poses a threat to the ecosystem, but the slug has not yet shown to have great negative impact in gardens and agricultural fields. There is limited ecological knowledge about the species. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Can Saccharomycopsis vini and Z4-11Al be used in a push-pull system against the invasive pest Drosophila suzukii?

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Hedda Andersson; [2022]
    Nyckelord : Z -4-undecenal; pheromone; yeast; volatiles; pest management; spotted wing drosophila;

    Sammanfattning : Drosophila suzukii is a pest with global spread that lays its eggs in soft fruits. It has been deemed potentially invasive to Sweden. Contrary to other Drosophila species, D. suzukii possess a serrated ovipositor which makes it possible for it to lay its eggs in ripening fruits. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Modelling Mosquito Prevalence on a City-Scale in Gothenburg, Sweden. A Methodological Development Study

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Ville Stålnacke; [2021-06-14]
    Nyckelord :Culex pipiens; Weighted Multi-Criteria Analysis; mosquito suitability; Species Distribution Model; city-scale;

    Sammanfattning : Mosquitoes are one of the most prominent carriers (or vectors) of diseases worldwide, which has an impact on human societies, as up to 1 million people pass away each year from mosquitorelated diseases. Mosquitoes are known carriers of, e.g., malaria, dengue fever and West Nile virus. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Direct and indirect effects of roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) herbivory on an island population of Chequered blue butterfly (Scolitantides orion).

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning

    Författare :Alexandra Johansson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Scolitantides orion; Chequered blue butterfly; oviposition; oviposition behaviour; Indirect and direct effects; herbivory;

    Sammanfattning : Herbivory by ungulates is a known agent of disturbance in many ecological systems around the globe. At high abundances and through a selective foraging behaviour herbivory may inflict significant direct and indirect effects on local plant and animal communities. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Friends with benefits? - Does gut microbiota of Spodoptera littoralis affect insecticide resistance and are there any costs of insecticide resistance development?

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Protection Biology

    Författare :Sarah Heithausen; [2021]
    Nyckelord :insecticide resistance development; gut microbiota; gut symbiont-mediated resistance; trade-off effects; fitness costs; symbiosis; survival; life-history traits; fecundity;

    Sammanfattning : The insect gut microbiota has many important functions for insects such as detoxification of host plant toxins. Recently there has been a growing interest on the effect of insect gut microbiota on insecticide resistance development. Insecticide resistance is a growing concern for food security and sustainable agriculture. LÄS MER
