  1. 6. Inkjet printed piezoelectric energy harvesters based on self-assembly of diphenylalanine peptide

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Yujie Fu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Inkjet printing; piezoelectric energy harvester; diphenylalanine peptide; self-assembly; Bläckstråleutskrift; piezoelektrisk energiskördare; difenylalaninpeptid; självmontering;

    Sammanfattning : Diphenylalanine peptide (Phe-Phe or FF) is a very promising bio-material in the future wearable electronics application due to its self-assembly into nanotubes and nanoribbons with high shear piezoelectric coefficient which is comparable to traditional inorganic piezoelectric materials. In order to efficiently harvest piezoelectric response, alignment and unidirectional polarization of FF nanotubes are required. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Identification of Monoclonal Antibodies:Peptide Mass Fingerprinting (PMF) with Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI), Time of Flight (ToF), Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Protein Peptide Mapping (PPM) with Capillary Electrophoresis (CE)

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Proteinvetenskap

    Författare :Sofia Bengtsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Monoclonal Antibodies mAbs ; Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time-of Flight Mass Spectrometry MALDI-ToF-MS ; In Source-Decay ISD ; Capillary Gel Electrophoresis CGE ; Capillary Zone Electrophoresis CZE ; Monoklonala antikroppar mAbs ; Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time-of Flight Mass Spectrometry MALDI-ToF-MS ; In Source-Decay ISD ; Kapillärgelelektrofores CGE ; Kapillärzonelektrofores CZE ;

    Sammanfattning : Antalet monoklonala antikroppar som används i läkemedel ökar kraftigt. Dessa läkemedel är dyra och risken för förfalskning är stor. Behovet att utveckla en metod för snabb och precis identifiering av monoklonala antikroppar är därför brådskande. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Metacaspase type II : Biochemical studies of the activation anddegradation process of calcium-independentmetacaspase type II from Arabidopsis thaliana

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Nationellt resurscentrum för biologi och bioteknik

    Författare :Anna Vikhagen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Proteases are found in all living kingdoms and are absolute essential for a functional cell to beable to break down peptide bonds. Metacaspases are proteases with the ability to cleave afterarginine and lysine residues. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Associations of COVID-19 diagnosis with levels of selected clinical markers among elderly individuals: a hospital-based, cross-sectional study

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för folkhälso- och vårdvetenskap

    Författare :Samiha Noor; [2023]
    Nyckelord :COVID-19 among older individuals; Sweden; cardiac troponin T; C-reactive protein D-dimer; NT-proBNP; clinical markers;

    Sammanfattning : Background Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) affected elderly individuals disproportionately in terms of hospitalization and adverse outcome. Objective This cross-sectional study examined the associations of COVID-19 diagnosis (COVID-negative versus COVID-positive) with levels of four clinical markers – cardiac troponin T (cTnT), high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP), D-dimer and b-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) – along with potential differences in associations by sex in a hospital-based sample of elderly individuals. 5. 10. Single-molecule Imaging of the Cell Division Ring in Escherichia coli Using the ALFA-tag

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysik

    Författare :Emma Westlund; [2023]
    Nyckelord :ALFA-tag; Escherichia coli; Divisome protein FtsZ; mEos3.2; Nanobodies; Nanotags; PALM; Plasmid transformation; sfGFP; Single-molecule Imaging; ALFA-tag; Escherichia coli; Divisomprotein FtsZ; mEos3.2; Nanokroppar; Nanotaggar; PALM; Plasmidtransformation; sfGFP; Enmolekyl-mikroskopi;

    Sammanfattning : The use of super-resolution (SR) microscopy is an important tool for understanding the inside mechanisms of bacterial cells. However, for SR imaging, the labelling of the proteins of interest is a great challenge as flourescent proteins (FPs) are often too big to be directly fused to the target protein and traditional immunolabelling with antibodies creates too long separation between the fluorophore and the target protein.
