  1. 1. Crime Prevention at Municipal Level : A qualitative study about municipal official’s experience of the implementation of the national crime prevention program “Tillsammans mot brott”

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för hälsa, vård och välfärd

    Författare :Jhonny Talavera; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Community development; Crime prevention; Municipal level; Policy implementation; Qualitative method;

    Sammanfattning : Background: In Sweden, organized crime has become more varied and cross-border which has led to change in the nature and the scope of organized crime. The national crime prevention program – Tillsammans mot brott (TMB) was presented by the Government of Sweden to increase security and prevent crime. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Supervised Learning for Prediction of Tumour Mutational Burden

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Joanna Hargell; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Supervised Learning; Tumour Mutational Burden; Generalized Linear Models; Decision trees; Support Vector Machines; statistik; tillämpad matematik; statistisk inlärning; mutationsbörda;

    Sammanfattning : Tumour Mutational Burden is a promising biomarker to predict response to immunotherapy. In this thesis, statistical methods of supervised learning were used to predict TMB: GLM, Decision Trees and SVM. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Evaluating Sugar Signaling during Xylose Oxidation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Teknisk mikrobiologi

    Författare :Viktor Persson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Saccharomyces cerevisiae; yeast; xylose oxidation; sugar signaling; biosensor; applied microbiology; teknisk mikrobiologi; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The sugar signaling state of cells oxidizing xylose was investigated through the chromosomal integration of the Weimberg pathway into previously established biosensor strains capable of monitoring the Snf3p/Rgt2p, SNF1/Mig1p, and cAMP/PKA pathways through the expression of HXT1, SUC2, and TPS1, respectively. Ultimately, two new strains were successfully developed containing both the Weimberg pathway and a biosensor for either HXT1 (TMB CB 112) or TPS1 (TMB CB 117). LÄS MER

  4. 4. Using CRISPR/Cas9 to regulate enzyme expression levels in the Weimberg pathway for optimal xylose consumption in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Teknisk mikrobiologi

    Författare :Anna Heiling; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Yeast; Weimberg pathway; xylose consumption; Applied Microbiology; Teknisk mikrobiologi; Chemistry; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a commonly used industrial organism which cannot consume xylose naturally. This is a problem since xylose is a major component in renewable resources, for instance lignocellulose. The Weimberg pathway is a pathway that converts xylose into α-ketoglutarate. It has been successfully integrated into S. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Construction and development of a multifunctional measuring device for biomedical applications

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Författare :Tobias Nilsson; [2016]
    Nyckelord :lab-on-chip; bio-sensors;

    Sammanfattning : Lab-on-a-chip technology is a rapidly growing research area. Joining together several disciplines, such as physics, biology and several instances of nanotechnologies. The aim of this research is mainly to produce chips that can do the same types of measurements as large lab equipment and measurement systems, but at a fraction of the size and cost. LÄS MER
