    Sammanfattning : BAKGRUND Kattens trombocyter har egenskaper som gör att dagens automatiska och manuella hematologianalyser ofta ger falskt låg trombocyträkning (pseudotrombocytopeni). Trombocyträkningen (PLT) riskerar att bli missvisande låg på grund av att trombocyterna hos katter kan vara mycket större än trombocyterna hos övriga arter, samt för att katters trombocyter in vitro ofta är så lättaktiverade att aggregat bildas.
