11. Testprocedur för undersökning av adhesiv förslitning vid svarvning
M1-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Avdelningen för Industriell utveckling, IT och SamhällsbyggnadSammanfattning : Adhesive wear in machining is caused by adhering through micro welding of workmaterial on the cutting tool, this may lead to the formation of built-up edge andbuilt-up layer. This is known as secondary adhesion, the wear mechanism mayalso lead to pieces of the tool coating being ripped of and following the chip, which is known as primary adhesion. LÄS MER
12. Spatial control of electron & hole states in InAs/GaSb heterostructures
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Single nanowire transistors employing three separately controlled electrostatic gates were fabricated to investigate band gap modulation in InAs-GaSb heterostructures. The aim is to show hybridization between electron and hole states over the heterojunction. LÄS MER
13. Degradation of Microplastic Residuals in Water by Visible Light Photocatalysis
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Microplastic (MP) pollution has recently been recognized as a threat to the biosphere including humans due to its widespread distribution, persistent nature and infinitesimal size. This study focused on the solid phase degradation of microplastic residues (particularly low density polyethylene, LDPE) in water through heterogeneous photocatalysis process by designed photocatalysts of zinc oxide nanorods (ZnO NRs) and platinum nanoparticles deposited on zincoxide nanorods (Pt NPs-ZnO NRs) under visible light irradiation. 14. Development and simulation of an active target detector with GEM foil readout
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/KärnfysikSammanfattning : At CERN, radioactive ion beams with energies of up to 10 MeV/u can be pro- duced by a newly commissioned post-accelerator, HIE-ISOLDE, which expands the possibilities for nuclear reaction studies. To investigate the collision properties of the ion beam with a target, an active gas–target detector is under development by the Reactions Group at the Nuclear Physics Division in Lund. LÄS MER
15. On the Properties of a Few Electron-Hole system in a Double One-dimensional Harmonic Trap
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysikSammanfattning : One of the most important concepts in condensed matter physics is that of ``quasi particles''. The exciton is one such quasi particle. In semi-conductors, excitons are formed by the excitation of electrons from valence band to conduction band, which creates holes in the valence band. LÄS MER
