1. Towards a Cooper pair splitter in InAs nanowires with crystal-phase defined quantum dots
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Lunds Tekniska HögskolaSammanfattning : Cooper pair splitting (CPS) is a process in which the two spin-entangled electrons of a Cooper pair in a superconductor are split into two spatially separated electrons. If the separated electrons are still entangled, CPS can be studied to increase the knowledge of non-locality in quantum systems. LÄS MER
2. Internal strain in the magnetocaloric alloy MnCoSi
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Cooling systems based on magnetic refrigeration are a promising and environmentally friendly alternative to commonly used gas-compression refrigeration. Magnetic refrigeration is based on the magnetocaloric effect. LÄS MER
3. Characterization of InAs-Al semiconductor-superconductor hybrid devices
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : In this thesis we study charge and spin transport through InAs-Al nanowire superconductor-semiconductor hybrid devices. We focus on assessing the quality of the InAs-Al contact interface when using a weak HCl acid to wet-etch the nanowire surface prior to metal evaporation. LÄS MER
4. Transient Dynamics and Core Tunneling in Vertical Spin-Vortex Pairs
Master-uppsats, KTH/NanostrukturfysikSammanfattning : Spin-vortices in vertically spaced pairs of thin elliptical Permalloy nanoparticles are investigated. The two vortex cores with parallel out-of-plane magnetization exhibit a strong monopole-like attraction through the spacer much thinner than the core length, thus forming a bound core-core pair. 5. Magnetic Properites in Alloy Systems
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : The attention for materials displaying high magnetocaloric effect (MCE) has grown during the past 30 years. One of the most important properties of MCE is the adiabatic temperature change ( ). The main aim of this work was to develop a method to measure the temperature change ( ) for magnetocaloric materials in a changing magnetic field. LÄS MER
