    Sammanfattning : In the Born-Oppenheimer approximation for a quantum system the emergent synthetic magnetic field can be seen as generated by monopoles at points of degeneracy, in full analogue to the synthetic fields generating the geometric phase of adiabatically evolving quantum systems.
