    Sammanfattning : In the last few years massively parallel sequencing (MPS) has become important for forensic DNA analysis by providing new and broader possibilities, such as increased discrimination power for short tandem repeat (STR) analyses. Cyclic gas composition pulsing of the CO:O2 ratio, combined with a new method using software based event-averaging by image recognition over many pulses, is used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio substantially.
