  1. 1. Hur påverkar gummigolv i grisningsboxen suggans liggtider, liggbeteende och hennes tid för att lägga sig?

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Nina Winter; [2014]
    Nyckelord :pigs; sows; farrowing pen; rubber flooring; rubber mats; lying behaviour; lying down;

    Sammanfattning : In the farrowing pens the amount of bedding material and the quality of the concrete floor has a huge impact on both the sow and the piglets. In this study imbedding of rubber flooring on the solid area in the farrowing pen was used to see if it had any effects on the sows lying behaviour when compared to concrete. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Potato yield and soil physical properties as affected by subsoiling

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Agrosystems (until 121231)

    Författare :Anna Holmkvist; [2008]
    Nyckelord :soil compaction; soil strength; root development; potato; solanum tuberosum; potato production; deep tillage; bulk density; subsoiling; potato yield; potato quality; inter-row subsoiling; chiseling; plough pan; infiltatation; zone tillage;

    Sammanfattning : Agriculture practices today include the use of heavy machinery which leads to soil compaction. High soil strengths are known to restrict the root development and prevent root growth. Sandy soils, which often are used in potato production, seem to be especially susceptible to subsoil compaction. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Improvement of the WATBAL model for till soil hydrology with application to heavy metal transport

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Environmental Assessment

    Författare :Claudia Teutschbein; [2008]
    Nyckelord :WATBAL; soil water model; till soils; hydrological uxes; rooting zone; heavy metal transport; integrated monitoring;

    Sammanfattning : In environmental research, the movement, accumulation and dissolving of pollutants are often of great interest. An important field of investigation is, for instance, the transport of heavy metals - such as cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb) and mercury (Hg) - through the soil. LÄS MER
