  1. 1. Structural investigation of ductile deformations across the Frontal Wedge south of Lake Vättern, southern Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Ellinor Halvarsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Frontal wedge; deformation zone; Sveconorwegian orogeny; Sveconorwegian Orogen; Eastern Segment; shear-sense indicators; Protogine zone; structural geology; bedrock geology; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Deformationszonen kallad ”Frontal wedge” är ett system av N-S branta och vertikala deformationszoner i gränsen mellan Svekonorvegiska och Sekorareliska provincen, i södra Sverige. Ursprung av dessa strukturer är inte fullt förstått och under de senaste årtiondena har endast ett fåtal undersökningar gjorts på dessa deformationszoner. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Säm fold structure : characterization of folding and metamorphism in a part of the eclogite–granulite region, Sveconorwegian orogen

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Stephen Michalchuk; [2013]
    Nyckelord :anatexis; high-T granulite; interference folds; polydeformation; Sveconorwegian orogen; SW Sweden; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Structural and petrological studies on complexly folded mafic and felsic layered sequences have been mapped in the parautochthonous basement of the Sveconorwegian Province, Sweden. Three deformation phases (D1, D2, D3)involving at least two fold phases (F2, F3) and two lineation phases (L2, L3) characterize a polyphase fold, which is primarily defined by a migmatized and highly competent garnet amphibolite. 3. 3. Sierggavággeskollans strukturgeologiska utveckling : nyckeln till Sareks berggrundsgeologi

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Tobias Hermansson; [2001]
    Nyckelord :geografi. geologi; strukturgeologi; Sierggavággeskollan; Sarek; berggrundsgeologi; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The Seve Nappe Complex (SNC) in the northern part of the Sarek Mountains, in NW Sweden, is characterized by large metamorphic contrasts between the individual thrust sheets. Eclogite facies and lower greenschist facies rocks are interleaved in a pattern that cannot be explained by normal in-sequence thrusting. LÄS MER
