  1. 1. The forgotten sand bee. A follow up on the status of the golden sand bee Andrena marginata in municipality of Mark, a decade later

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Instiutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Monika Böttcher; [2024-03-19]
    Nyckelord :Golden sand bee; Andrena marginata; Devil´s bit scabious; Succisa pratensis; Oligolectic bees; Inventory; Meadow land; Conservation;

    Sammanfattning : Over a decade ago, a conservation project aimed at preserving the endangered golden sand bee (Andrena marginata) populations in the Storån valley of the municipality of Marks was initiated. The species, red-listed in Sweden as well as in many other European country, specializes in pollen from Devil's bit. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Oligolectic bee species. An understudied group in Global Change impacts?

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Instiutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Monika Böttcher; [2024-03-19]
    Nyckelord :Solitary bee; global change; oligolecty; red list; taxonomy;

    Sammanfattning : Global change is considered the primary cause of the decline in bees worldwide, posing a significant threat to crucial pollination services they provide, carrying negative economic and ecological implications. Despite the extensive research conducted on the responses of bee communities to anthropogenic impacts, the focus has predominantly been on commercially interesting bees. LÄS MER

  3. 3. An attempt to promote ground-nesting bees in an urban landscape. Investigating the use of sand beds as a conservation effort.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Instiutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Bodil Mattson; [2024-02-16]
    Nyckelord :ground-nesting bees - pollinator conservation - sand beds – conservation in urban parks;

    Sammanfattning : Pollinators provide crucial services for the ecosystems by pollinating around 80-90% of all plants. However, pollinating insects are declining worldwide which may cause a parallel decline in plant species leading to large biodiversity losses. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Riparian plant biodiversity and community composition of ditches and straightened streams : identifying key environmental drivers in a boreal forest setting

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Rasmus Staaf; [2024]
    Nyckelord :artificial waterways; riparian zone; novel ecosystems; ; forestry; ditch network maintenance; species richness; hill-diversity; drainage ditches; coarse woody debris; ditch cleaning; ecology;

    Sammanfattning : Modified ecosystems are typically seen as degraded and having no ecological value. In many cases, the modification of the ecosystem was done more than 100 years ago and may have had time to recover and become a refugia for species that were once more common in the landscape. 5. 5. Mängden död ved i värdekärnor i Söderåsens nationalpark

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre

    Författare :Gustav Thurell; [2024]
    Nyckelord :volym död ved; stående död ved; liggande död ved; bokskog; nedbrytningsgrad; värdekärna;

    Sammanfattning : There is a lack of knowledge about the development of the dead wood in former production beech (Fagus sylvatica) forests that have been protected. The present study has been carried out in Söderåsen National Park to compare the distribution of dead wood in relatively unaffected beech forests that have been protected for a long time (A-value cores) and older, previously managed beech forest that has only been protected for 20-30 years (B-value cores).
