    Nyckelord :Concentrated Solar Power CSP ; Photovoltaic PV ; Molten Salts; supercritical CO2; Thermal Energy Storage; Battery Energy Storage System; MoSES; Energy Dispatcher;

    Sammanfattning : One of the key challenges the world will need to face during the 21st century is global warming and the consequent climate change. Its presence is indisputable, and decarbonizing the gird emerges as one of the required pathways to achieve global sustainable objectives. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Techno-economic fesibility of a hybrid CSP (sCO2) - PV plant for hydrogen production

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Patricia Perez De La Calle; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Soec oxide electrolyzer cell SOEC ; Concentrated solar plant CSP ; Super critical cO2 sCO2 ; photovoltaic field PV ; Thermal storage TES ; electrolyzer; MoSES; high temperature electrolysis THE .;

    Sammanfattning : The global need to eliminate CO2 emissions and its consequent reduction in the use of fossil fuels drives the ongoing energy transition that highly involves the research achievements of the scientific community to reach the goals of this purpose. Renewable sources like photovoltaic and wind energy, are central to this endeavor, however, the intermittency of natural resources makes it non-dispatchable and energy storage is fundamental. 4. 4. Analysis of atmospheric influences on ratio thermography for solar tower systems

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Algebra, geometri och diskret matematik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Albin Englin; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Concentrated solar power; Ratio thermography; Shortwave infrared; Gray body assumption; Atmospheric compensation;

    Sammanfattning : The knowledge of temperature and emissivity of the receiver are both critical for a solar tower power plant, in order to guarantee an efficient operation of the thermal receiver on the one hand, while monitoring any degradation of the receiver coating on the other hand. To make these measurements, a new thermographic system is currently being developed, using a multispectral camera working in the short wavelength infrared spectrum. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Alternative Energy Storage Solutions and Future Scenarios of the Austerland Energy System

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Jennie Lindblom; [2022]

    Sammanfattning : The project Austerland Energi at the eastern tip of the island of Gotland called Östergarnslandet was started as a response to the larger project Omställning Gotland funded by the Swedish government as an effort for a pilot project to convert to renewable energy to reach zero CO2-emissions for the country in 2045. The current plan for the Austerland energy system is a solar PV and wind production base with energy storage in the form of batteries and hydrogen which also can be used as vehicle fuel. LÄS MER
