Sammanfattning: After the recent pandemic a lot of people decided to work from home. Previous research has asked the question if leadership during distance work needs to evolve. Our study focuses on finding out what motivates the employees when they work from home and what kind of leadership they want. By using Situational leadership theory as a basis for the different leadership styles and using Job characteristics model to identify motivation factors. Through a qualitative method using semi structured interviews, we have found evidence that the employees are satisfied when they work from home. But they are missing the social aspects of work. The study also finds that more communication and adaptation is necessary for the workers to feel better. This would require the leadership to take on a supporting role.
