Sammanfattning: Abstract Author: Mikaela Johansson Borg Title: The values of life - a study of how our life values changes during the years of development. Supervisor: Anders Östnäs Assessor: Christina Erneling The purpose of the study was to describe and analyze of life values based upon different ages, in order to make comparison between them. Life values mean what you as an individual state as the most important in your life, the basic values you have with your life. A life value can for example be love, religion or money. The different categories of ages in the study were set as 20-25, 40-45 and 60-65. In total 150 people have participated, with a split of 50 people per category. I have used a quantified research method with surveys in the study. The people within each category have evaluated their seven life values with help of a scale of 1-7. The different life values were the following: To make a career and/or secure a good economic situation, to perceive harmony and balance, to support other and be of value for people, the family and friends are the focus, to travel, to reach a position with influence and to unite with religion and spirituality. The result has shown that our life values differ based upon ages where some values during the development which become more important and some values less important.
