Sammanfattning: Automatization is a relativelynew phenomenon in recruitment activities. Research shows automatization willhave a significant impact on the roles, structures and functions that today characterize HR. How this development will affect personnel recruiters is still unknown. A potential factor could be the limited research on how recruiters create meaning of automatization. This study investigates how recruiters create meaningof automatization in connection to their vocational role. The object of study is an HR-department of a Swedish company. Furthermore, we have applied a qualitative research method as well as conducted interviews with five recruiters of said department. Results show recruiters have an overall positive perception of automated system and do not consider automatization to be a threat against their vocational role. We conclude that their sensemakingevolves around a collective understanding that they will be working towards more strategic assignments in the future and that automatization will enable this development.
