Sammanfattning: The essay describes what honor-related violence is and means. There is a perception that honor-related violence only involves physical violence, but the truth is that the physical is only a fraction. In Sweden, there is two big cases of honor killings, Fadime and Pelas. The essay describes how it is to live with honor culture in Sweden, if you feel included or excluded in the Swedish society. This is done through interviews with people who live or have lived with honor culture. The work also includes interviews with two people working in a shelter where they daily encounter young women fleeing honor culture. In the work it is about Fadime and Pelas backround, how they grew up and straying toward the culture of honor which then led to their death.Honours in Sweden did not look like the honors in the other countries. Honours in many countries is based on the woman's sexuality and the woman's innocence. An entire family can be affected if a woman is considered "unclean".The aim is to highlight how young people experience of living in a culture of honor in a country where the majority culture repudiates honor culture and secular and highly individualized culture.
