Effekten av plantarrangemang på skörd av gul lök (Allium cepa)

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvård

Sammanfattning: The farmer Jean-Martin Fortier’s biointensive growing system is according to himself a growing system that is going to give equivalent to, or even more yield then the Swedish standard recommendation. When it comes to onions, Fortier claims that only by changing the plant arrangement, while keeping the plant densities the same for both systems the biointensive growing system is going to generate a higher yield with more onions meeting the commercial standard for ware onions. The basis for this bachelor thesis was a growing experiment made with onions (Allium cepa) preformed in 2018, where onions was planted in two different growing system. One system where the onion plants was arranged in groups of three was compared with another system with plants arranged in a single row. The focus of this experiments has been to compare the weight and circumference of the onions within the different growing systems, and additionally do a time study of the time spent sowing and planting.
