Flemingsberg Kulturhusen

Sammanfattning: My thesis project is about designing a building that culturally actives Flemingsberg, a suburb in the south of Stockholm, and makes a meeting place for all its people. Flemingsberg has a specific structure that assembles and at the same time divides it socially and geographically. People work, study, travel, and live here. Flemingsberg is developing towards becoming a center of southern Stockholm. Yet, the culture does not take enough space within that plan as I believe it should do. My building elevates above train platforms and captures an enormous amount of people that circulate there every day. The placement of my design embraces people to daily encounter culture and be a part of it, which they aren’t today.
